Plans for The Goodridge Freedom House
The building is currently in a state of severe disrepair. There is extensive water damage. An extensive renovation plan is necessary to make the building useable as a museum
The entire building will need the following:

The first floor will house exhibits currently on loan from the Michigan Historical Society and the York
County Heritage Trust. t will also have a computer room, a story telling area and a movie projection area.
The second floor will have traveling exhibits. These are exhibits that change on a periodic basis.
The third floor will house museum offices.

- Electrical upgrades, including specialized lighting for exhibits
- Structural repairs
- Miscellaneous interior and exterior carpentry repairs (doors, moldings, trim, etc.)
- Plumbing upgrades
- New HVAC system
- Painting
- ADA accessibility (interior and exterior)
- Flooring
- Window repair
- Security system
- Roof repair
